Our theme for the 2027 Conference & Expo is Building Connections, Bridging Gaps.

Please read the following instructions carefully:
To submit a session, you must log in and enroll.
If you have a PRPS Account use your existing credentials to log in and enroll.
If you are unsure if you have a PRPS Account or do not have one selecting "enroll" will prompt you to log in. On the login screen, select "Create a New Account" and input your email address and required details. If you already have an account, you will get a popup that says "An account already exists for that email address." You can then use the reset password function or email [email protected] for account access.

Once signed in, you can navigate to the catalog and find this session again, or follow this direct link (you may wish to copy or open in a new tab now): https://prpslearning.org/topclass/topclass.do?expand-OfferingDetails-Offeringid=117279
Once enrolled, from your homepage or the left sidebar, you can navigate to your Learning Center, hit "Launch Course" and take the survey for conference submissions.

The deadline for conference submissions is August 30, 2026.

Please read the following information prior to starting your session proposal.

Complete this form in full for each submission you are proposing for the 2027 Annual Conference & Expo scheduled for March 16-19, 2027 at the Kalahari Resort, Pocono Manor, PA.

The Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society Conference Committee is seeking proposals for educational sessions to be presented at their 2027 Annual Conference & Expo. The conference hosts around 400 park and recreation professionals including:

• Managers and staff of local, county, state, federal, and non-profit recreation and park departments and facilities.
• Aquatic facility managers.
• Trail and greenway coordinators.
• Local and state government officials.
• Volunteer Board/Friends Members.
• Students in recreation and parks or related college programs.


The Education Committee is emphasizing sessions that fall within the following program paths:

• Revenue and Budget Development; Fiscal Responsibility **
• Playground Maintenance **
• Planting, Invasive Species, Plant Species for Trails and Natural Spaces **
• Employee Development **
• Programming, Summer Camps, Special Events **
• AI and Technology **
• Aquatics
• Board, Committee, Friend Volunteers
• Certifications (Pesticides, Aquatics, Youth Sports, etc)
• Crisis & Emergency Management
• Customer Service & Public Relations
• Diversity/Inclusion/Accessibility/Justice

• Marketing & Communications
• Human Resources/Organization or Personnel Management/Staffing

PRPS is an IACET-accredited CEU provider which means that as an organization, we must follow specific standards related to quality learning experiences. This form must be filled out in its entirety prior to submission. Incomplete proposals will not be accepted.
